Last night, I was stuck, stuck, stuck. So, following [livejournal.com profile] dark_geisha's example from a couple of weeks ago, I ditched the chronology obsession and skipped several chapters ahead. And it worked!!! No more stuckage. 650 words in 2 hours. AND, It helped my brain wrap itself around the direction the next several chapters need to go.

Down with chronology!!!

Of course, I should have spend that time reviewing. Sheesh.

Bugs: I am overwhelmed with praying mantises. (manti?) What strange creatures.

*SCREEEECH* ew ew ew ew ew!!!!! I deteste all insects in all their various twitchy, crawly forms! So sorry about the manti, Rae... :( *sends bug spray* kill them all! kill them like the dogs (presumed terrorists? hee hee) they are!

and yay not being stuck anymore! when the story is filled out, you'll be able to easily go back and write those other chapters!

Thx for the spray! It's a good thing they are praying because they are about to meet their Maker! (*groans*) BEFORE they wreak havoc on my home. No due process for evil praying manti!!!

A praying mantis once attacked my cousin in the Philippines. Because it was the Philippines, it was an exotic kind -- shaped like a triangle and everything. It jumped onto her head and started attacking her hair.

...it's sad that I have this many strange insect stories, isn't it?

Woo hoo! Down with chronology!

It was sad. It flew through the window, landed on her hair and started attacking her hair. She jumped up and ran around the room, smacking at the back of her head while the rest of us stared at her aghast. D:

Yay Rae! I may have to just skip this part and see what happens when I write the end.

Hmm...

Except it's not the end. DRAT!
