Overheard on the houseboat...

raefinlayLake McClure was victim to the annual houseboating trip this weekend. It was 111 degrees on Fri. Fortunately, it cooled to a balmy 106 by Sun. Much fun was had. I swam a lot, got a colossal sunburn, and fell easily back into the roll of "silliest Aunt Rae-rae ever."
I have the cutest niece on the planet. Exhibit A:
4-yr-old Kristine: Aunt Rae-Rae, what's that shiny, muddy stuff over there?
Aunt RR: That's driftwood.
Kristine: No it's not.
Aunt RR: No?
Kristine: You know what I think?
Aunt RR: I definitely want to know what you think.
Kristine: I think it's hippopotamuses.
It is good to be an aunt.
