I've reached a turning point. One of those crossroads with far-reaching effects. *deep breath*

Do I:
A) Buy a whole new wardrobe?

or
B) Lose 5-10 lbs?

Arguments for A:
1. I don't mind not being thin. I even like a little softness here and there.
2. Shopping is more fun than exercising.
3. Two words: January Sales

Arguments for B:
1. I'd rather drop several hundred dollars on a writers' conference.
2. It would be good for me to at least look at what I'm eating.
3. I need to exercise for lots of reason, the least of which is staying "thin."

I always come down on the side of exercise. Even if it means gaining weight in the form of muscle. There's being too thin... and there's succumbing to an unhealthy lifestyle that's going to cause more problems down the road than just a teensy-tiny bit of unsightly flab.

Exactly!! I'm more concerned with the direction my lifestyle is headed if I don't get a handle on things. The extra 5 lbs doesn't bug me; it's what the extra 5 lbs means about how I'm treating myself...
