That's it! I've had it!
Oct. 21st, 2005 08:04 pmI can no longer wallow in the suck of my current WIP. It's like quicksand. The more I write, the deeper I sink into the dreaded Pit of Profoundly Pathetic Prose.
So, I took two days off to desuckify earlier chapters. WHAT A RELIEF. Yeah, yeah, I know "First drafts can suck," and believe me, this one will. But I've learned I have a suck quota that I dare not exceed lest I lose all self-esteem and motivation.
That, and Elisa might sit on me.
The book is still far from perfect, but it's no longer stuck in the PPPP, and I no longer yearn for matches and lighter fluid.
