Doggie woes

raefinlayI little stray adopted me two days ago. He's the cutest little guy--prob a dachshund / sheltie mix. My dog Calamity adores him. Today, I did my humanitarian duty and called the animal shelter to see if a lost dog matching his description had been reported.
Alas and alack...we may have a match! And now I'm sad, because he's sooooo sweet and cute...and sweet. So I called the owner (Dave) and left a msg. I've fantasized about Dave calling, and me saying..."small dog? No, this one is a husky..." or some such dastardly lie.
