Reviews: 4 yesterday, 1 today. Yay! Almost caught up.

Bugs: Praying mantis on my water faucet. I hadn't realized they could fly...

About to introduce parallel plotline #3, and I'm thinking...am I nuts??? How am I going to keep track of that much stuff? Feeling a bit short on brain cells, humbled by my own limits.

Self-Doubt Monster: You're not smart enough or a good enough writer to tackle this.

Wannabe Writer: But you should at least try! Think about what you'll learn in the process.

SDM: You haven't even published a short story; what makes you think you can tackle an epic novel?

WW: It doesn't matter. I think therefore I write. I breathe therefore I write. I must try, try, try!

*thwaps SDM*
*flicks SDM on forehead*
*stomps on SDM*
*remembers: must resurrect SDM at later date as aid for writing character conflict*

Writing. *sighs*

you can do it!!!

Can I make a suggestion? In MOP (an epic also) There are three plotlines going on. Each one is planned out individually in its own timeline and such. That is the only way I have found that helps me keep em all straight. Or did I miss the problem?

You can do it. Don't think less of yourself. You are awsome, most people who 'have a story to tell' never even write ANYTHING down so you are already ahead. Don't give up!

*wince* not really, but I found myself staring at the sentence I'd written 20 min ago and realized I'd been lost in time thinking about a scene halfway through the book (I'm still workin on ch9) so I thought I'd take a break and feed my offspring (and lurk in lj-land)

That's okay. I finished my scene in Chapter 12 and am taking a food break. Yay food! :D

I'm strangely glad to see I'm not the only one who personifies her "writing monsters." I've even drawn pictures of mine.

Good luck!

Pictures???? Now there's an idea. I imagine it's fairly therapeutic. Maybe a pic of my SDM needs to go on my bulletin board with a big target drawn around it. Hmmm....

*kicks Rae's SDM* ha ha ha

dooode. you'll be fine :) the book *seems* too big for you, but it's not! I swear. :D seeming too big means it's just big enough, just complex enough. (just interesting enough to write!)

*kicks SDM again for fun* take THAT. heeee

What's that old saying? If the novel you're writing doesn't feel like it's just out of your reach, then you're not writing the right novel?
