Dressing like a grown-up
Feb. 25th, 2005 02:06 pmI don't like grown up clothes. They're boring. It's the cutesly stuff in the "junior" section that catches my eye. Alas, the cutesly stuff is cut to fit little boys who like pink young girls who never experienced pubescent hip-spread.
Today, I decided to grow up. After cuddling the low-cut jeans with the pink nylon fringe, I turned up my nose and marched away...into the women's section. I chose four pair of pants (all variations on the professional khaki theme) and tried them on. They ALL fit. Waists at waist-level, curvature at the thighs, sturdy fabrics that didn't enhance The Bulge. AND, my size was still in the single digits.
I'm never going back.

Date: 2005-02-25 10:44 pm (UTC)Hi, my name's Michael and I noticed you friended me the other day. I thought I'd return the favor. I've seen your comments around on LJ, and poked at your journal. We seem to have several of the same interests and people friended.
I'm looking forward to reading more of your LJ.
So out of curiousity, how did you find my journal?
In Peace
Michael

Oh yeah, I do have that problem. Hmm. Maybe I will look at the "grown up" clothes next time I go shopping...
