raefinlayI think I've reached Plot Quota. Three short stories and two novel-length WIP's are in frenzied competition for my attention. So last night, I screamed, Back OFF! I need some head space here! And they all retreated cautiously.
Except for Elisa. She just put her hands to voluminous hips and whispered, "You know you want to write me. You KNOW you do."
*sigh* Ok, fine. Elisa wants to play alpha female.
Like a good, submissive writergirl, I sat down at the keyboard... then all the Very Bad Habits took over and I began yet another transition chapter. Unacceptable. Elisa needs to face Scary Danger. She needs to look a complete fool in front of hubs. And she needs the opportunity to observe some key elements of Joya culture and tradition. But Rae wanted to describe the scenery. *throws up hands*
When the going gets THIS rough, it's time to break out the Secret Weapon. (insert Mission Impossible Theme song) So tonight, I'm calling the little sister--who is friggin' brilliant--to bounce some ideas around. (But, ssshhhhhh, don't tell! She's a sssecret, my precious.)
I've got to get this next chapter out. Otherwise, Elisa might sit on me.
