And the thunder rolls...

BIAW words to go: 9100--eeek! But I will prevail. I will, I will, I will. Though I AM so behind on reviews, I feel guilty writing anything.
The coolest thunderstorm ever happened last night. They sky was all black and evil-looking. Right before the lightening started, the air got startlingly clear; you could see for miles. Then the sky roared like God was playing the tympanis or something. The dogs completely freaked out, of course.
THEN, the well-pump blew. I think too much water got into the electrical unit and it shorted. So, no water for drinking, showering, toilet flushing, etc. I ran to the store late last night so I'd have something to drink / brush my teeth with this am. It poured outside the whole time. I considered lathering up and standing outside in the rain. I must say I was completely prepared with flashlights and candles, so it was mildly disappointing when the power stayed on.
THEN, the coyotes went nuts. I think they came closer than ever, all yipping and cackling in their coyote way. If they were people, they'd need extensive therapy for manic behavior. I had to get up in the middle of the night and make sure Butler was inside. Fortunately, even my neighbor's kitties were present and accounted for this morning.
Ok, I'm going to try to knock out some reviews while at work today so when I get home, I can write, write, write.
Bugs: NONE! For the first time in the history of the Old Davis Orchard, no bugs! I think the thunder scared them off.
