Ode to Butler Buddy
Sep. 14th, 2004 09:47 amI have the coolest cat in the world. No, really. Here are the reasons:
1. He worships his litter box.
2. He showers with mom every morning. (That pounding hot water feels so nice!)
3. His tuxedo is just oh-so-dignified.
4. He weighs in at 14 lbs, even though it's summertime and he is a mere shadow of his wintery self.
5. He speaks English. (Butler, do you want a TREAT? Butler, do you want a drink of water? Are you ready for dry-off-time? Do you need some loves?)
6. He is a great watch-cat, attacking unwary passersby with aplomb and frightening off the occasional small dog.
7. He is the greatly feared mutilator of flying insects, which he proudly leaves at mom's bedroom door. (This is an important quality since we live in an orchard.)
8. He helps mom write by protecting her from the evil and ever-moving onscreen cursor.
9. Mom has measured Air-Butler's vertical at 6 ft (and counting...)
10. He's the lovinest, cuddlinest, nuzzelinest kitty ever.
Anyone else have pet brags they need to share? I am your captive audience...
Bugs: Ants in the cat food. It's almost stink-bug season, so I just bought a new batch of Raid.
