A very unusual thing happened today. No, I didn't give up cookies. (Good guess, though.) No, Martians didn't land in Modesto. (It's even stranger!)

I got a raise. Just because my employer is happy with me and thinks I'm doing a good job. *boggles* I dunno about you, but as a product of Corporate America, I get all boggly when an employer is nice to me. It's doubly strange because business is slow. It's triply strange because my last raise was in March. (I blogged about it here.) I even got the "you *are* happy here, right?" talk.

So, yeah. Wow. I'm feeling very thankful and lucky right now. Stuff like this could make a girl notjaded.
