There are feral kitties under the neighbor's house.  The very young mom (Bristol Palin-aged, in cat years) is distinguishable from her 4 astonishingly healthy offspring only by the fact that her boobs hang low. Poor baby.

They are tabbies, about 8 or 9 weeks old. Two are soft grey. The others have more distinguished tabby stripes and leetlewhitesocksesomgsquee. One is a long-hair, or would be with proper nutrition, with baby blue eyes. *ded*

I managed to get within a yard. Mom growled her very not-scary kitty growl.

They are doing amazingly well. I think a partial taming is in order, followed by catch-and-snip-and-release.

*sigh*

Why does this always happen to me???

You definitely have more Rescue Kitty stories than anyone else I know! But I think it's so neat that you help them.

I keep telling you, there are kitty hobo signs on your door. They know where you live--even after you move.

If I can help, let me know. I'd take one if I could, but that can't happen here. Alas.

Is there an organization near you that cares for feral cats? It might step in and care for the babies, too. Poor babies (including the mom). :-(

At least they have you as their guardian angel. It's a big responsibility for you. You have a big heart, but I hope you can find some help.

I'd laugh, but then the fates will decide that it's my turn again, and my rescue zoo is already overwhelming, so no laughing here. Nope. Not me.

At least you won't have rodent problems!

*snuggles kitties*

Because like your seeeeester, you're kind, caring, compassionate and have a very large sign reading "SUCKER" on your forehead. :-)

Bless you! Thank you for helping them!

"Why does this always happen to me???"

LOL! It's often ME! Or another of my online friends...
I guess kitties just have a knack for finding places where a kind heart is near.

It's because you are infected with a parasite that makes you want to care for cats. Will has one, too. No matter how bad the friendly neighborhood cat smells, or how many fleas she has, he stops to pet her.

I am soooooo sorry I pointed them out to you that one night. It's like I had a brain lapse and forgot who I was married to!

It'll be easy to name them, at least. Just name them after Palin's kids!

my daughters want to know why it never happens to them. Then I remind them about the bunnies they see ever day.

It's so great that you'll get them the operation and then let them go. The old farmer neighbor by my dad just lets them keep breeding. Even when the babies are seriously sick and goopy-eyed. Makes me angry.

Wish I could have been at the BBQ today. Silly dance cleanup. Thankfully it only took an hour to throw away the cardboard decorations and pop the balloons. The girl who mopped the floor found $10. She was thrilled.
