There were good things today. Really.
Aug. 19th, 2005 08:44 pm*sigh* At least the day is over. Looks like I'm going on probation Tues. Many bad things happened. But good things happened too, and I'm going to focus on them for a moment, thankyouverymuch.
1. The academic dean put in a request to hire me as the freshman English teacher.
2. The moon is full tonight. That means I'm going for a walk in my orchard around 1 am. No flashlight needed. Just me, the weirdly blue trees, and the coyotes.
3. When I bought beer today, I got carded. *loffs checker*
4. I have the most encouraging flist in the world. *hoards* *keeps forever*
5. I got belated birthday money in the mail.
6. Butler and I had ourselves a thorough cuddle when I got home. He's pervy. I won't need to exfoliate for days.
That's some pretty cool stuff.
*happy*

Date: 2005-08-20 04:01 am (UTC)I'm sorry about your bad day, though. Poor Rae. ::hugs:: I wish there was something I could do to help.
Ooooh, you're lucky. Walking in an orchard at night. Is the moon beautiful? We have overcast and I can't see.
Have a good walk.
Good thoughts for you and your new possibility!!!

Date: 2005-08-20 12:36 pm (UTC)Oooh, I so hope that comes through. Your love of the written word might activate the overly hormonal brains of the freshmen :)
Enjoy your moonlight and your walk in the early hours of the morning and the coyotes. It sounds lovely.

Yanno, I'm kinda surprised at how not-upset I am. Maybe this is why. Writing is wonderful that way. It gives us something outside of the daily grind to immerse ourselves in.
