Unmagicked silliness
Jan. 16th, 2005 01:33 pmI wrote a 900-word synopsis for Unmagicked this weekend. Well, the first volume, that is. *headdesk* When I started writing U, I envisioned a trilogy, cuz, yanno, trilogies are Teh Thing. But reality set in and I realized I don't have quite enough story for a trilogy. Unfortunately, I have way tooo much story for a single volume. So, it looks like a 2-book arc, which will probably not win agents and publishers. But it feels right for the story. *shrug*
Or maybe I should just finish this thing before worrying about all that market-y stuff.
But writing a synopsis was good. Painful, but good. I highly recommend it.
Sent "First Waltz" to market #3, sent "Lightbender" to market #1. Three stories on the rejection circuit!! *happy dance*
And I watched lots of Buffy. Some of the early eps are Not Good, but the Whedon-written ones are generally brilliant. I watched them all with "story" in mind: plot, tension, character growth...and I learned, learned, learned.
Now, back to writing...
Oh, and NICE TO SEE YOU ALL AGAIN! Wow, I really missed LJ. Didn't realize what an addict I've become. *waves to flist*
