SAD advice?
Dec. 3rd, 2007 10:42 pmThe winter season is upon me, and this year, I am determined to NOT be its bitch.
What usually happens: Rae gets depressed. Rae spends hours online looking at pictures of tropical places. Rae eats all the carbohydrates on the eastern seaboard and gains 250 lbs. Rae develops an unreasoning but surprisingly comprehensive hatred of humanity. Rae dreams up apocalyptic novel plots. Rae speaks of herself in the third person.
So, what I'm doing so far: Staying warm at home, even if it means a higher gas/electric bill. Walking outside at lunch, even if, with windchill, it's STOOPID 19 DEGREES, like today.
Oh, mighty flistmind, what do you think? Is there anything else I should be doing to stave off the winter blooz? Anyone else experience SAD and have challenges coping?
