In which our heroes fall prey to their own heroism

Ok, so ccfinlay called about twelve shelters in the area--some out of the area--and NO ONE IS TAKING CATS.

Holy crud, we don't know what to do. We're moving this weekend, and if we take 4 cats with us, we'll be in violation of our lease. So we have to find homes for our accidental adoptees STAT. Any ideas?

On the good news front, the unweaned ones eagerly lapped at a tincture of warm water, tuna juice, and a small amount of mashed cat food via a Juicy Juice straw. I gave the boys a lesson in the Proper Care and Feeding of Unweaned Kittens (complete with post-meal hiney wipage.)

Also, there was poo-poo and pee-pee--in the litterbox! (made from a cereal box and packing tape--the litterbox, not the poo-poo.) They no longer huddle terrified in the corner of the closet, and they no longer hiss when we approach. They're becoming quite snuggly. And holy cow, teh cute... *dies*

Now, if we can just find a mommy or daddy for them. Two medium-haired tabby/calico kittens--free to good home! Potty trained and (almost) weaned! Don't hold back...
