My first attempt at rewriting this thing was officially aborted tonight. I'm now on attempt number two. Attempt number two is shaping up a bit better.

aaron_mag, mmerriam, and sosostris2012 were kind enough to wade through the suck of #1. They were honest. I love them madly.
So, there will be no tweaking of the earlier draft. No quick fixes. NO SHORTCUTS. This baby is going in for a ground-up rewrite. *lays cover fire*
