What Dad Says: I haven’t talked to you in a long time. I was getting worried.
Translation: I love you very much and I miss you like crazy and I know your mother talked to you a couple of days ago and I’m insanely jealous so could you talk to me too, please? Also, did you notice the use of the word “worry”? Doesn’t it make you feel at least a teensy-weensy bit guilty for not giving me enough attention?
What It Doesn’t Mean: I’m a control freak and you’re still a child.
*sigh*
Why did I wait until I was in my 30’s to figure this out? Woulda saved a lot of aggravation.
Also, all my stories lately are about music. I wonder why?
Also, Butler beat the crap outta my latest Asimov's last night. It was cute. That and the Season 1 boxed set of Stargate SG-1. (It probably got peed on by a small rodent in the warehouse or something.)
