Tropical Vacation Decisions
Feb. 1st, 2005 08:38 amMy sister's divorce went through. To celebrate, she and I are going to Cancun in November! (insert major squeeage here)
Sooo...Do we spend the whole time in Cancun? Or do we hit Playa or Cozumel or Tulum for a few of those days?
Tulum possibilities: Cenote diving, hiking ruins, touring/birdwatching in eco-preserve, less crowds, inexpensive beachfront cabañas.
Playa possibilites: Night clubs, night clubs, night clubs. Oh, and snorkeling.
Cozumel: More snorkeling, and it's...well, an island.
Cancun: All the amenities, more nightclubs, shopping, central point for side trips to Isla, Chichen Itza, but perhaps too westernized for what we're looking for.
We both speak the language, which provides some distinct advantages when shopping or negotiating tours.

Anyone been to the Mayan Riviera? Any particular spot we Must Not Miss??
