1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Went to the food pantry at my church.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I know better than to make new year's resolutions.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes. Two cousins. I was in the birthing room for one. Seriously cool.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
Westside Modesto. Fortunately, I speak Spanish.
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
Two completed novels.
7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The day I got DSL, babeee!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Surviving without a job for six months.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Getting fired from a temp job for not taking notes.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No, but I have a really big zit on my nose right now.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My jump drive.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Jodi Meadows' and Holly McDowell's. Two more supportive friends the world has yet to see.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My sister's.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Toward jobless survival.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Writing, writing, writing.
16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
This is just not how my brain works.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you: happier or sadder? Richer or poorer?
i. Definitely happier.
ii. Poorer. Quit the nice corporate job to starve in an orchard. I'd do it again and again.

Writing!

Eating.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Cleaning, socializing, trying to be the "good daughter."

The Notebook by Nicolas Sparks

Not a chance.

I don't do that anymore. *sigh*

I don't watch TV.

A job.

Um...er...did I go to the movies? Don't remember...

I turned 31. And I seriously don't remember. Holy cow! Did I just type 31?? Dang. I'm immature for my age, though.

Finishing a novel, selling a story, winning the lottery.

That doesn't really need to be ironed...

My faith, my friends, writing.

I'm not really into celebs. Too pretty and makeupy and fame-scarred.

The trendy view that the "War on Terror" is today's Vietnam.

My brother who lives in Mexico. *misses*

Okay dude. I've got a resolution for you in 2005. You will not get overly addicted to orchard hermitude. This is an intervention dude. Don't get too comfortable with the hermit lifestyle. It is easy to do and you are way too young for that. Yes, 31 is still young dammit. You're just a kid...
