Ok, not. It didn't even come up. Because neither of us could shut up about writing. I'm just glad I'm not the only obsessing freak out there.

Funny...I've met "online" friends before in "real life." And each time, I've approached the meeting with a certain set of expectations based on the online persona I'd gotten to know. Invariably, there have been surprises. But not this time. Aaron is the same online as he is in person: funny, smart, opinionated, informed. And he utterly demises the stereotype of Hermit Writer Nerd. Or maybe he was just on his best behavior? Maybe he really IS an HWN, and I was too enraptured by our riveting dissection of the parts of speech to notice?

Whatever. I had a good time. Rumor has it that [livejournal.com profile] aaron_mag has a pic posted of the occasion. Rumor also has it that said pic has already caused widespread cracking of innocent monitor screens, so click at your own risk.

And yes, I ate everything on my plate. I'm a focused eater.

I kept trying to figure out what resturant you were in. I think you are both very attractive people. Now I want to meet some of my LJ friends. *looks over in [livejournal.com profile] eblgorton direction*

dude, you ate so fast! I felt uncomfortable and flustered because you were all done and I was still eating. Thank you for not noticing that I was turning beet red while you were watching me eat my salad. *laughing*

You were totally different than I expected. I was very intimidated at first, because you have this goofball online personality. But you were very sophisticated type in 'real life'. But I had fun. I'm looking forward to meeting more OWWers and such in the future.

And all of you do the same for the nerd, trekkie, fantasy girl. I actually was thinking of this last night when I was in the hotel room and you and Holly had your cameras on. If I did that at home and Cynthia walked by she would think I was doing the equivalent of a 1-900 line in internet world. And I'd be saying,

"No Honey...these are my writing buddies."

And she would say, "Those women? Yeah right. They're beautiful. They're not writing nerds. Just admit to me that you're paying them to talk to you and I'll forgive you."

:D
