You know, I've waited a large portion of my entire adult life for a woman to be on the Presidential ballot in either slot, the Ferraro fiasco aside. And now that there is a woman on the ballot...it feels like an episode of the Twilight Zone. I can not believe this woman is a VP candidate.

It's interesting to note that you can vote more than once, so it's possibly not a valid reflection of any national consensus as much as people's ability to spam.

I think the worst part of the situation is that it makes a statement about greed and the desire for power. And that there are many people who can't think analytically about issues. I laughed at the SNL skit, but it's a sad fact that (a) Palin probably doesn't believe dinosaurs are real or (b) she would say and act as if they weren't real to earn votes and the power that would follow a Republican victory.

It's a scary possibility that if McCain-Palin win there are going to be a lot of ultra-conservatives willing to wish him dead and possibly act on that desire as soon as they elect him.

Actually, my heart hurts for my conservative friends and family. They want a woman on the ticket so badly. It's their chance to be modern and "with it" by voting for a woman. And they're totally bamboozled by her because she's a prayin', modestly-haired pro-lifer with boobies.

But she's a colossal nightmare. Seriously, one of the least integrous candidates I've ever seen.

They're so deceived and betrayed, and they don't know it yet. *sigh*

Seeks out earmarks for supporters until caught, then flip-flops? Check.

Compulsive lying on issues of no consequence? Check.

Uses positions of power to pursue personal vendettas? Check.

Sidesteps legal record requirements to cover up questionable use of office? Check.

More drilling, more war? Check.

Blames the liberal media in order to avoid answering questions on issues and policy? Check.

Lipstick? Bonus!

Yeah, looks like she's qualified.
